Gift buying is far from evenly split.
Recent YouGov data shows that 64% of women in Britain buy gifts for friends, compared with 37% of men (boo!).
Women are also more likely to buy wedding gifts (68% vs 54%), gifts for parents (50% vs 41%) and thank-you gifts (42% vs 25%).
The actual purchases themselves aren't too different. Food and drink tops the list for both men and women, while vouchers and gift cards are also among the most common choices, 50% women and 39% men.
Now, aside from the amount of gift-giving, women also come out top on thoughtfulness too - they're more likely to say they consider the occasion, their relationship with the recipient, budget and the recipient's preferences when deciding what to buy.
So if you want to continue or buck the trend, Steppr has you covered!
